The Salvation Army in Lancaster and York Received $20,000 Check from Truist Bank

THE SALVATION ARMY IN LANCASTER AND YORK RECEIVED $20,000 CHECK FROM TRUIST BANK
The check will support the Pathway to Hope programs in Lancaster and York, benefiting local individuals and families in poverty.
LANCASTER, Pa. (July. 15, 2024) —The Salvation Army of Eastern Pennsylvania received a $20,000 check from Truist Bank to support its Pathway to Hope programs in Lancaster and York. The Salvation Army in each location received $10,000. The funds from Truist will enable The Salvation Army to break the cycle of poverty by working directly with those in need to address the root causes that hinder their path to self-sufficiency.
Sarah Lesser, senior vice president at Truist, alongside Brian Caden, vice president at Truist, presented the check at The Salvation Army Lancaster Corps to Lancaster Corps Officer Major Thomas Hinzman, York Corps Officer Major Ronald Starnes and Salvation Army Eastern Pennsylvania Corporate Engagement Manager Jennifer Brown.
"We are deeply grateful to Truist Bank for its generous donation, which will significantly enhance our Pathway to Hope program here in Lancaster. With these funds, we can allocate resources more effectively, providing personalized support and community connections that are crucial for families on their journey toward self-sufficiency," said Maj. Hinzman.

The Salvation Army’s Pathway to Hope program is designed to enable a path out of poverty by working long-term with families, empowering them to move beyond crisis to a state of increased stability. Enrolled families benefit from personalized action plans that take advantage of the resources and community connections available.
