Captains Hector Cid-Ciriaco and Melissa Lopez
The Cid Lopez family was appointed Corps Officers at the Reading Corps in 2020. Captains Hector Cid and Melissa Lopez are passionate about serving in ministry in various areas, especially focusing on children and their education. They have a history of more than 20 years of serving in local churches in the ministry area and in community volunteering. Their passion is to serve God.
La familia Cid López fue nombrada Oficial del Cuerpo de Reading en 2020. Los capitanes Héctor Cid y Melissa López sienten pasión por servir en el ministerio en diversas áreas, especialmente enfocándose en la educación infantil. Cuentan con más de 20 años de experiencia sirviendo en iglesias locales en el área ministerial y en voluntariado comunitario. Su pasión es servir a Dios.
Captain Adrian Aponte
Captain Adrian Aponte is The Commanding Corps Officer/Pastor at the Reading Citadel Corps. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, raised in New Castle, Delaware, he has been a soldier to the Salvation Army Since he was 13 years old. Been an Officer for 7 years with 6 Appointments in 4 different states. Loves the Lord and enjoys deep discussions in fellowship with others. Passionate about Music, outdoors, sports and the development of today’s youth. Works with the Day Camp and Afterschool program. Strives to build community connections, health relationships and life-long friendship wherever God puts him.
El Capitán Adrián Aponte es el Comandante del Cuerpo y Pastor del Cuerpo de la Ciudadela de Reading. Nació en Filadelfia, Pensilvania, y se crio en New Castle, Delaware. Ha sido soldado del Ejército de Salvación desde los 13 años. Ha sido oficial durante 7 años, con 6 nombramientos en 4 estados diferentes. Ama al Señor y disfruta de conversaciones profundas en compañía de otros. Le apasiona la música, la vida al aire libre, los deportes y el desarrollo de la juventud actual. Colabora con el Campamento Diurno y el programa extraescolar. Se esfuerza por construir vínculos comunitarios, relaciones saludables y amistades para toda la vida dondequiera que Dios lo ponga.
