2022 Red Kettle Open Golf Tournament Presented by Cedar Pediatrics

May 11, 2022

Our 2022 Red Kettle Open golf tournament presented by Cedar Pediatrics is just a few weeks away!

We are so excited to gather together on Monday, June 6th at Lancaster Country Club for a beautiful day of golf and friendly competition while Doing The Most Good for those in need in the Buffalo community.

The Salvation Army in Buffalo offers HOPE and help to individuals and families in need by offering 15 programs and services for the community. From our Employment Services program, helping with job searches and assisting individuals with their GEDs, to an After School program that caters to children of all ages, we aid every member of the family.

Over the past year and a half, there have been limited activities open to children in the community. This summer’s camp was a different experience than in past years, but one child stood out from the rest. I got to spend a lot of time with Ryan at the beginning of camp, due to his negative behavior. At one point, he was sent to my office 3-4 times per day. Even through these challenges, we refused to give up on Ryan because we knew this six-year-old child just needed time to adapt. As the weeks began to pass by, I saw him in my office less and less. By the end of the summer, he had improved so much that he won the ‘Most Improved Camper’ award that you can only win if you come all eight weeks of camp. We are so proud of Ryan’s progress and are glad he was able to attend this summer.”

We are so grateful for all of our sponsors, whose support of our Red Kettle Open allows us to keep providing much needed programs to children like Ryan. There’s still time for you to join us at this year’s tournament – purchase your sponsorship or foursome here.
