The Salvation Army Buffalo's Red Kettle Luncheon

Sep 12, 2022

Every year, thousands of individuals and families turn to The Salvation Army during their time of need. From food for their families to assisting with job searches, The Salvation Army in Buffalo is dedicated to offering hope for a better life by meeting basic human needs for individuals in need, without discrimination.

Our Red Kettle Luncheon is the official kick off of the holiday season and marks the beginning of our Red Kettle Collections in the Buffalo community. We are excited to announce that this year’s Red Kettle Luncheon presented by John and Carolyn Yurtchuk is Wednesday, November 2 at Salvatore’s Italian Gardens! Registration and meet The Army begin at 11 a.m. and lunch will be served at 12 p.m. (noon).

This event serves as a celebration of all that has been accomplished and looks to the future work to be done in our community. This year, the program will feature a sneak peek at our new Hope on Main project. Since 2020, this community has been tested. The Coronavirus pandemic has altered our way of life and, for many, has created long term problems like loss of income and, for some, loss of housing. But The Salvation Army in Buffalo has continued to serve those in need; from our food pantries to our Emergency Shelter, we have never stopped helping those who need it most – remaining open during the pandemic and serving!

Support of our fundraising events, like the Red Kettle Luncheon presented by John and Carolyn Yurtchuk, provide much needed funds that allows us to continue supporting those in our community who need it most.
