COVID-19: Salvation Army Puts Summer Camp In A Box

Aug 3, 2020 | by New Jersey News Network

From NJNN: It's called "Summer Camp in a Box."

"The program will be five boxes throughout the summer, where every box has a different theme, snacks for the week, five daily activities for five different days," Soto explained.

Parents are desperate for a solution to keep their kids occupied, happy and learning.

"I have two kids that have not been able to do summer camp this year and they have been at home most of the summer, so they enjoy doing the boxes, because it's something different," said  parent Yadira Zavaleta. "It's free. It has everything actually, from games to learn to draw, paint, even the bible studies, stories."
