‘Doing the Most Good:’ Salvation Army of New Jersey Feeds 235 Bergen County Families
The Salvation Army of New Jersey held a successful Thanksgiving Breakfast To-Go (Plus All the Makings for Thanksgiving Dinner) pick-up event at Eastwick College in the city on Wednesday, November 25.
Volunteers provided 235 Bergen County families with a free nutritious breakfast and a turkey. For a decade, the Salvation Army Hackensack Corps has served its annual Thanksgiving breakfast indoors, but because of the Covid-19 pandemic, families were provided with a grab-and-go breakfast and turkey pick-up where the distribution was set up in the lower parking lot at Eastwick College on Moore Street in Hackensack that morning.
