Since March 2020, through 29 of our locations statewide, The Salvation Army New Jersey Division has supplied more than 8 million meals to the working poor, underemployed, unemployed, homeless and first responders. While our work has primarily centered on combatting hunger and food insecurity, we’ve worked to address other critical needs, including shelter, childcare for essential workers at multiple sites throughout New Jersey, toys for tens of thousands of children during the holidays and, where needed, converting our facilities into COVID-19 testing and vaccination sites.
