Through programs that serve the body, mind and soul, The Salvation Army meets the needs of those who are struggling.

The Salvation Army’s approach to feeding the hungry is formed based on the local needs of each community we serve.

We feed thousands daily, including the most vulnerable of our communities.
Salvation Army food pantries provide groceries for families and individuals in need.

The Salvation Army feeds an average of 156,000 every single day in the U.S.

In addition to addressing the immediate symptoms of food insecurity, our programs are designed to help identify and treat its root cause. This approach focuses on meeting the physical, mental, and spiritual needs of each person and helps move many from hungry to fully healed.

Social Services at The Salvation Army Orange, New Jersey:

Feeding Program (Opening Fall 2021)

This program will provide nutritious hot meals and valuable human interaction to help the most vulnerable members of society escape the daily burdens of food insecurity.

Food Pantry

Tuesday 10 AM - 2 PM, Wednesday 10 AM - 2 PM

Requirement: Any form of photo identification

By supplying free fresh produce, canned goods, and healthy frozen items, our food pantries provide valuable meal supplementation while helping those in need to maintain their independence and dignity.

Utilities and Rent Referrals

Tuesday 10 AM - 2 PM, Wednesday 10 AM - 2 PM

We offer utilities and rent referrals to those in need. Please call or visit us for more information.
