Greater Pittsburgh Advisory Board Spotlight: Meagan Moore
Meagan Moore grew up knowing The Salvation Army provided thrift stores in her local community, but after she became a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Advisory Board, she discovered the full scope of services that help people in need daily.
“I think the biggest surprise for me was when I realized that The Salvation Army's work touches so many people in so many different ways,” Meagan said. “I want people to know that the Army's approach is holistic: it offers help for the mind, body and soul.”
Meagan serves as Senior Counsel in the Legal Department at NiSource/Columbia Gas. She is passionate about supporting The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s mission because of its impact on all people served.
“The Army's mission is important to me because it offers assistance to those who need it and does so in an inclusive and non-discriminatory way,” Meagan said. “In 2021, as we continue to endure the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s work is extra important as it is a reliable source of holistic support for those in our region who need help to push through these extraordinarily hard times.”
Meagan lives in Mt. Lebanon with her husband, Scott. They have a daughter, Samantha, who is two and a half years old.
