PITTSBURGH, Pa. (October 21, 2021) – Your help is needed to provide hope this Christmas for children across Western PA through The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program.

With one click, you can easily provide toys for local children in need while supporting The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program in the following ways:

  • Make a monetary donation to The Salvation Army to purchase a toy on your behalf. Your donation will provide toys for children in need in your zip code.

  • Purchase a toy online from the retailer of your choice and ship it directly to your local Salvation Army Community Center, or personally deliver it to the center. Instructions are at the bottom of this page.

Donations can be made now at: www.salvationarmywpa.org/angeltree

Last year alone, The Salvation Army provided over 100,000 Christmas toys to vulnerable children. This year, the need is great as an increased number of families continue to experience the financial impacts of pandemic poverty.

“We added the online giving component last year for The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program and continue to use it again in 2021 to make it easier for people to donate,” said Leah Cross, The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program Coordinator in WPA. “So many families are continuing to struggle right now to meet their household’s basic needs. We rely on the love and generosity of our donors each year, and we pray that if you are able, please purchase a toy online today and have it shipped to The Salvation Army location in your community.”

The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program – formerly known as Treasures for Children in the Western PA region - brings communities together to provide kids with Christmases they’ll never forget.

Children create wish lists that are shared with hundreds of companies, small businesses, churches and individuals. Across 28 counties in Western PA, gifts and toys are collected and sorted by hundreds of volunteers at various Salvation Army locations, then given to families to put under the tree for Christmas day.

If you, your church, or your company is interested in being a part of The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, please call Leah Cross at 412-446-1534 or email leah.cross@use.salvationarmy.org.
