GTB Donates PPE for Youth Attending The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s Camp Allegheny This Summer

Jun 25, 2021 | by Stephanie Rex

Ellwood City, PA (June 25, 2021) – A generous donation of PPE is making The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s Camp Allegheny possible this year with 12,000 new masks provided for campers and counselors.

GTB, a global precision marketing agency, made this donation on behalf of the 80 dealers of Neighborhood Ford Store and the Pittsburgh regional office of Ford Motor Company.

“We are proud to continue to support The Salvation Army,” said Beau Smith, EVP, Managing Partner Retail, GTB, “GTB is dedicated to supporting our communities as we adapt to the new normal.”

Camp Allegheny offers low-cost, Christian-focused camping opportunities to children living in Western Pennsylvania. This year, Camp Allegheny has limited attendance due to the ongoing pandemic, however, with safety protocols in place, this important programming is moving forward with the help of counselors who will remain onsite all summer, and with the help of GTB’s PPE donation.

“We are incredibly grateful for this donation as it ensures that our campers and counselors have all of the PPE they need to last throughout the whole summer,” said Major Gregory Hartshorn, Divisional Commander, The Salvation Army Western PA Division. “Every year, Camp Allegheny offers a transformative experience for kids to not only discover new activities and make new friends, but to connect with a future rooted in faith and hope. We thank GTB for helping us to accomplish our goal in making Camp Allegheny possible and safe this summer.”

Camp Allegheny staff members exist to model Christ through servant-ministry, loving relationships, and unforgettable experiences. The Salvation Army Western PA Division continues to monitor the public health crisis and will continue to make decisions that keep all employees and campers safe.
