The Salvation Army Greater Pittsburgh Women’s Auxiliary Annual Fabric Fair is BACK on Saturday, September 18
September 1, 2021 (PITTSBURGH, Pa.) -- The Salvation Army’s Greater Pittsburgh Women’s Auxiliary Fabric Fair returns this year for its 33rd Annual Sale hosted at The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Worship and Service Center, located at 1060 McNeilly Road in Mt. Lebanon.
Beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, great bargains on sewing, knitting, and crafting supplies of all types will be on display, separated by item type for ease of shopping.
Free parking is available on site and at two satellite locations with free shuttles at Keystone Oaks High School and Keystone Oaks Middle School. Snacks and lunch items will also be available for purchase. Carts and strollers are prohibited.
Since its inception, the annual Fabric Fair has raised over $600,000, with all proceeds providing critical assistance to struggling individuals and families throughout Allegheny County through The Salvation Army’s services and programs.
Volunteers from The Salvation Army Greater Pittsburgh Women’s Auxiliary work tirelessly throughout the year, collecting fabrics and notions, measuring, cutting, pricing, and working out logistics for their Annual Fabric Fair.
The success of the Fabric Fair is a result of the donations of all the items for sale. Donated fabric and related items are always in need, as are additional volunteers to measure and sort fabric in preparation for the fair. Those having donations or who may be interested in helping are encouraged to call Marilyn Dehuff at 412-835-3162.
Fabric Fair donations are currently being accepted at The Salvation Army warehouse from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesdays at the rear of 820 Parish Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Please note: fabric donations will not be accepted on Sept. 18 during the actual Fabric Fair event.
