The Salvation Army Hosts Back to School Bash for Pittsburgh Students

PITTSBURGH (July 11, 2022)The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple invites the community to a Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 6, 2022. The event, presented by First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation, will provide backpacks, gently used clothing, shoes and more to local families. The bash will kick off at 10 a.m. and run until 1:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Worship and Service Center located on McNeilly Road.

“Thank you to our generous sponsor First National Bank for once again helping us assist families who are facing financial pressure ahead of the new school year,” Captain Justin Caldwell, Commanding Officer for The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Worship and Service Center said. “This event can help fulfill basic needs, allowing local families to focus on their student’s education and development.”

Advanced registration is required by calling 412-207-2127. Thanks to the generosity of this year’s sponsor, First National Bank, student haircuts will be available onsite along with food, fun, a bounce house and more!
