What
Local parents and children will find the support they need for the new school year at The Salvation Army Homewood-Brushton Worship and Service Center. Families with children from grades K-12 that live within the area are welcome to drop by to receive new backpacks and supplies on a first come, first served basis. The first 100 students to attend will receive new backpacks. Students must be present the day of the backpack giveaway. No registration is required for backpacks.
In addition, children are also welcomed to receive two new outfits from our Blessings Boutique, which provides brand new clothing for children in our area. Registration for clothing is required by calling 412-242-1434, ext. 208.

Why
Many families throughout our community are facing increased financial challenges as the economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic continues. The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s Back-to-School Assistance programs across 28 counties offer much-needed support in the form of backpacks, clothes, shoes, and more.
