McKeesport Salvation Army Distributes Takeout Thanksgiving Meals for Families in Need

Who

The Salvation Army McKeesport Worship and Service Center 

What

Takeout Thanksgiving meals will be provided to local families and individuals in need. One meal will be provided per person, and each meal includes turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes and green beans. A limited number of food boxes will also be available on a first come first served basis, containing food for a family of four. The boxes include a ham or ground turkey, canned goods, and other dry good items. There will be 40-50 food boxes available in addition to the individual takeout Thanksgiving meals.

Why

Many families throughout our community are facing an unprecedented number of challenges, especially financial hardships, during the COVID-19 pandemic. This year’s takeout Thanksgiving meals are designed to serve individuals and families in need while maintaining safety protocols during the pandemic.

Wednesday, November 25 from Noon – 12:30 p.m.
