The Salvation Army Monessen Worship and Service Center Hosts Monessen Community Day Event at Palmer Park on July 31
(Monessen, PA) July 20, 2021 – The Salvation Army Monessen Worship and Service Center is hosting a Mon Valley Community Day Event at Palmer Park on Saturday, July 31, with several activities that will be fun for the whole family!
The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include a craft area for kids, “Touch a Truck” in the parking area, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services canteen truck, free food stations, food trucks, a car show, and more. There will be a vendor show with over 30 different vendors.
Entertainment will be provided hourly from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with performers including DJ Fletch, Betsy’s Dance Studio, Christian Rapper RFTL, and more!
“This is a chance for the whole community to come together and celebrate the chance to enjoy each other again over the summer,” said Captain Susan Thwaite, Commanding Officer, The Salvation Army Monessen Worship and Service Center. “We look forward for the opportunity to host an event that the entire community can enjoy in a safe space.”
