Upcoming Awakening Foundation Newsboys Concert to Benefit The Salvation Army Steel Valley Worship and Service Center

PITTSBURGH, PA (October 20, 2021) – Awakening Foundation and Altrua Healthshare have teamed up with The Salvation Army to support individuals and families in need with an upcoming Newsboys concert. 

 

The Salvation Army Steel Valley Worship and Service Center will receive a $500 donation from Awakening Foundation with Altrua Healthshare during the Newsboys: Step Into The Light Tour performance taking place at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 28 at Petersen Events Center. The concert also features special guests: Mandisa, We Are Messengers, Cade Thompson, and Adam Agee. Click here to purchase tickets.

Awakening Foundation with Altrua Healthshare will present a $500 check donation to The Salvation Army Steel Valley during the event. 

“We are so grateful for the support of Awakening Foundation, Altrua Healthshare, and Newsboys,” said Lt. Michael Haynes, Commanding Officer at The Salvation Army Steel Valley. “Their generous support will go directly to COVID-relief services impacting local families, including emergency feeding, utility and rental assistance, and so much more.”

During Fiscal Year 2020, The Salvation Army Western PA Division served 590,318 men, women, and children, provided 710,186 meals, provided 381,840 groceries, assisted in 732 housing/rent assistance cases, and in 2,375 Utility assistance cases.
