The Salvation Army North Boroughs Worship and Service Center Prepares to Kick Off FREE Teen Art Class
(PITTSBURGH, PA) June 16, 2021 – The Salvation Army North Boroughs Worship and Service Center is inviting local teens to join its brand-new Airbrush Art Summer Squad – a free series of art classes instructed by Commanding Officer Lt. Tylar Melfi.
Teens will have the chance to explore their creative sides, make new friends, develop airbrush art skills and more! Classes will be held every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. beginning Thursday, July 8 and concluding Thursday, August 19.
The classes are free and open to all kids ages 13 to 16 years old. Participants must register at www.salvationarmywpa.org/artclass before July 8.
Lt. Melfi previously owned and operated an airbrush shop for 10 years before joining The Salvation Army as an officer.
“This is a great opportunity for kids to come together this summer, have fun, and develop new skills and expression through airbrush art,” Lt. Melfi said. “We are so excited to inspire even more creativity in the North Boroughs community.”
