The Salvation Army Rochester Worship and Service Center Hosts Back-to-School Bash for Local Students
June 29, 2021 (Rochester, Pa.) – Local parents and children will find support and smiles on Saturday, Aug. 21 during The Salvation Army’s Back-to-School Bash in Rochester, providing backpacks, school supplies, haircuts, food, and more.
Families must sign up prior to the event to attend and must live within the following zip codes: 15074, 15009, 15042, 15027. During sign-ups, families must show proof of children and address. Any school aged child is eligible to participate! The Back-to-School Bash event will take place at Rochester Area School District, 540 Reno Street, Rochester, PA 15074.
“We can’t wait for this year’s Back-to-School Bash because it gives us a chance to support local kids while also joining in fellowship with our community,” said Envoy Mary Kay Mackneer, Commanding Officer for The Salvation Army Rochester Worship and Service Center. “We know this year’s event will bring hope to all who attend, and we are so excited for the joy that this will bring to local families who need a little extra support.”
Sign-ups will take place at The Salvation Army located at 378 Jefferson St., Rochester, PA. Sign-up dates and times include:
- July 12 through July 16 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Aug. 9 through Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Haircuts, food, a bounce house, socks and underwear, hygiene packs, book bags with school supplies, and more will be included during this event.
