The Salvation Army and Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club Partner to Host Drive-Thru Food Drive Supporting Local Families in Need
CARNEGIE, Pa. (October 8, 2020) – The Salvation Army and Carnegie-Collier Rotary Club are coming together to collect donated food items for local families in need during a Drive-Thru Food Drive to be held Saturday, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The drive will be held at the Carnegie Borough Building, located at 1 Veterans Way, Carnegie, PA 15106. A Kona Ice Truck will be serving sweet treats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those interested. All unexpired dry goods, canned goods, and nonperishable items will be accepted. The most needed items include:
- Canned soups, applesauce, tomato sauce, cranberry sauce, corn, sweet potatoes, green beans, and tuna
- Boxed spaghetti and stuffing
- Toiletries including paper towels, disinfecting wipes, toilet paper, facial tissue, toothpaste, and toothbrushes
