The Salvation Army’s River and Wind Challenge Event to Raise Funds for Somerset County Families in Need

The Salvation Army’s 20th Annual River and Wind Challenge offers the community a day of biking for the whole family that will raise funds to directly support local neighbors in need in Somerset County.
Starting at 8 a.m. at the Meyersdale Train Station, registrants will ride bikes along the Great Allegheny Passage for a good cause. Participation directly helps families in Somerset County who reach out to The Salvation Army for emergency food, utility, and rent assistance.
Riders can choose between a 50 or 25.9 mile bike ride. Registrants will receive a gift bag, refreshments, and a catered lunch with to-go options available. Based on funds raised, registrants are also eligible to receive a t-shirt, sunglasses, and/or riding jersey. All levels of support and fundraising will make a difference!
