The Salvation Army’s River and Wind Challenge Event to Raise Funds for Somerset County Families in Need
The Salvation Army Somerset Service Center and Bicyclists from Western PA
The Salvation Army’s 20th Annual River and Wind Challenge offers the community a day of biking for the whole family that will raise funds to directly support local neighbors in need in Somerset County.
Starting at 8 a.m. at the Meyersdale Train Station, registrants will ride bikes along the Great Allegheny Passage for a good cause. Participation directly helps families in Somerset County who reach out to The Salvation Army for emergency food, utility, and rent assistance.
Riders can choose between a 50 or 25.9 mile bike ride. Registrants will receive a gift bag, refreshments, and a catered lunch with to-go options available. Based on funds raised, registrants are also eligible to receive a t-shirt, sunglasses, and/or riding jersey. All levels of support and fundraising will make a difference!
