Telethon Benefitting WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up to Air December 2
PITTSBURGH (November 29, 2022) – The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division and WTAE Channel 4 are proud to present this year’s telethon benefitting WTAE’s project Bundle-Up. Watch live on WTAE Channel 4 beginning at 5 a.m. and ending at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022. Proceeds will benefit WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up which provides NEW winter outerwear to children and seniors throughout Western Pennsylvania.
“We would like to thank our viewers for continuing to support WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up year-after-year,” Charles W. Wolfertz III, President & General Manager of WTAE Channel 4 said. “Pittsburgh is the city of good neighbors, and this telethon is one way we can ensure this great work continues in our community.”
During the 2021-22 winter season, WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up provided coats, boots and winter outwear for nearly 5,000 children and seniors. The virtual 2020 and 2021 telethons exceeded expectations, allowing WTAE’s project Bundle-Up to serve even more children and seniors this year.
“WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up is a special program that’s only possible thanks to the generosity of corporate partners and individuals in our community,” Major Gregory Hartshorn, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania, said. “It provides more than coats, hats, boots and gloves. The entire experience of getting to shop for NEW items is truly remarkable to see. Thank you for helping ensure none of our neighbors are left out in the cold this winter.”
Viewers can donate by calling 855-660-ARMY or by texting “BUNDLEUP” to 41444. Donations can also be made on projectbundleup.org or wtae.com.
Since 1986, WTAE’s project Bundle-Up has raised $16.5 million and has helped 300,000 children and senior citizens.
