Back-to-School Bash Provides Supplies for Local Students
Tuesday, August 3, 2021 (Pittsburgh, Pa.) – Local parents and children will find support and smiles on Saturday, Aug. 14 during The Salvation Army’s Back-to-School Bash event, providing backpacks, gently used clothes, shoes, and more.
Sponsored by First National Bank, the largest subsidiary of F.N.B. Corporation, the event takes place from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Worship and Service Center, 1060 McNeilly Road, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15226.
“We know many families are facing continued financial pressure this year as we all continue to get ‘back to normal,’ and we are looking forward to lending support during this year’s Back-to-School Bash,” said Captain Justin Caldwell, Commanding Officer for The Salvation Army Pittsburgh Temple Worship and Service Center. “We know this year’s event will bring hope to all who attend.”
Advanced registration is required by calling 412-207-2127. Student haircuts are available onsite along with food, fun, and a bounce house! Attendees who are not vaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask and practice social distancing whenever possible.
Thanks to the generosity of this year’s sponsor, First National Bank, students will be provided with backpacks, school supplies, gently used clothes and shoes, haircuts, and more.
