The Salvation Army’s Emergency Disaster Services Team Seeks Volunteers
PITTSBURGH, Pa. (November 9, 2022) – The Salvation Army loves and serves all unconditionally, and beyond the most difficult situations. The Western Pennsylvania Emergency Disaster Services (EDS) team is seeking passionate volunteers to support this important mission through feeding programs, helping distribute donated goods and more.
Save the date January 7, 2023 for an upcoming volunteer open house and bi-monthly EDS meeting for prospective and present volunteers to gather and learn more about how they can assist The Salvation Army and impact the lives of the Western Pennsylvania region. Some other upcoming events include the Greenfield Holiday Parade on December 2, 2022 and The EDS Christmas party on January 14, 2023. Ongoing volunteering opportunities include:
- Outreach feeding those experiencing homelessness: Every Tuesday with the cooking shift from 9 – 11:30 a.m. and distribution from 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Drivers are also needed for this program. Click here to sign up for a shift.
