Christmas Lights Collection Raises $7,700 for WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up
Michael Brothers Companies is turning your old Christmas lights into bright smiles from children and seniors across Western PA! The full-service source for waste removal and recycling presented a check of $7,784.07 to WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up. All funds were raised through the company’s annual Christmas Lights collection. Each year during the holiday season, Michael Brothers collects and recycles Christmas lights from members of the Pittsburgh area community.
The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division and WTAE-TV are grateful for the ongoing partnership of Michael Brothers Companies. The funds raised will provide approximately 80 children and seniors with NEW winter outerwear. Michael Brothers also partners with The Salvation Army Angel Tree program, helping distribute donated gifts and toys for local families, and serves as a sponsor for WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up’s Polar Plunge every New Year’s Day. Project Bundle-Up was also honored to present the 2024 Community Service Award to Michael Brothers at the 39th annual Telethon for their ongoing contributions to this program.
Since its inception in 1986, WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up has raised $17.5 million, providing more than 310,000 children and older adults with NEW winter outerwear across Western Pennsylvania.
