PITTSBURGH (March 6, 2023) – Bid, Buy, and Bundle Them Up! Help The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania Division and WTAE-TV keep children and seniors warm each winter by participating in WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up Annual Online Auction March 17 through April 7, 2023. Starting Friday, March 17, visit projectbundleup.org or wtae.com and follow the prompts to check out the great deals on unique items up for grabs through the Greater Giving auction platform.

“This annual auction is one of project Bundle-Up’s largest sources of income,” Major Gregory Hartshorn, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania, said. “Funds from this auction will go toward providing NEW winter outerwear to those who need it most across Western Pennsylvania. We are grateful for this continued partnership with WTAE-TV and we know the community will once again step up to help us ensure none of our neighbors are left out in the cold next winter, and for many years to come.”

Visit the site weekly, new and exciting items will be posted every Friday at Noon! Don’t miss your shot at winning hundreds of incredible items including a Sidney Crosby autographed jersey and an autographed Pittsburgh Steelers football. You can also bid on incredible experiences like an overnight stay at the Mountaineer Resort or tickets to see the Pittsburgh Pirates take on the Cincinnati Reds on Friday, April 21. The auction will also feature gear for your home like an Amazon Echo Show 15 and Ninja DualBrew Coffee Maker. Items up for bid have been donated by our generous sponsors, organizations and individuals. A special thanks to our major sponsors KeyBank, Peoples Gas, FedEx Ground, GCU, Target, Walmart and UPMC.

“This initiative would not be possible without the generosity of our viewers,” Charles W. Wolfertz III, President & General Manager of WTAE Channel 4 said. “The annual auction is a win-win. You can receive a fantastic item while helping your neighbors in need, all from the comfort of your home. Thank you for supporting WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up year-after-year.”

The annual online auction is one of the primary ways that WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up raises funds. Since its inception in 1986, WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up has raised $16.5 million, providing more than 300,000 children and seniors with NEW winter outerwear across Western Pennsylvania.
