Annual Pittsburgh Polar Bear Plunge Makes a Splash

Jan 3, 2023

PITTSBURGH (January 3, 2022) – Hundreds of people took the plunge into the new year at the The Pittsburgh Polar Bear Plunge. The annual event kicked off the new year with a splash into the Monogahela River.

Participants braved the cold temperatures to help keep children and seniors warm. All proceeds from the sales of t-shirts and long sleeve shirts will benefit WTAE-TV’s project Bundle-Up.

Thank you to long term supporter 84 Lumber Company and t-shirt sponsors Dakota Engineering, GCU, Gill Resources, Michael Brothers Hauling and Recycling and UPMC.
