The Sheetz for the Kidz Holiday Program provides underprivileged children the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with new toys, clothes and other basic needs. The program partners with The Salvation Army to identify children and collect their holiday wish lists. Sheetz employees from every Sheetz operating area shop, wrap and host parties for all the participating children.  Over $1.4 million worth of items was distributed last year, making the holiday season brighter for more than 8,800 children in six states. Monies collected in Sheetz stores through customer donations and through special fundraisers support this program.

The Salvation Army will select 16 children who live in the same zip code as each participating Sheetz location. Children with parents/guardians who are Sheetz employees are not eligible for this program. The parties have fun activities most appropriate for 4 to 14-year-old children.  However, the eligibility for this Christmas assistance program is open to children from the ages of 0 to 18 who are still in high school.  Families with multiple children may apply for all children living in the household between these ages, regardless of whether all children will attend the party.

Interested families should apply at their local Salvation Army office and must be screened and qualified with our social services application to determine eligibility based on income guidelines. A parent/guardian must provide transportation for their child(ren) and accompany them to the party.  Families who have participated in the Sheetz For the Kidz holiday party in the previous year will most likely not be selected again in order to give those who have not yet been selected a chance to take part.

Families who believe they may be eligible to take part are encouraged to contact their local Salvation Army:
