SK2 After School Program

The Mission of SK2 (Smart Kids Strong Kids) is to strengthen families by providing an environment of fun and learning so that every child, with the help of their families and the Dayton Kroc Community, will successfully complete their school year.

Education

An extension of training for parents and children alike:
Creating a culture of curiosity through to a variety of topics and activities which will stimulate interest in learning. Educating parents on a variety of topics so that they can better assist their children in school. Partnering with parents in their children’s education by holding regular reviews of each child’s progress. Ensuring that every child is progressing in education so that none are ever held back.

Nutrition

Recognizing the decline of health among our nation’s children, we are determined to strengthen families by:
Providing healthy, homemade meals each day, which will add to their overall healthy nutrition. Creating healthy options for eating by offering a salad bar at every meal. Educating our families about healthy nutrition.

Family

Strengthening families by providing an environment for bringing parents and their children together at the close of each day so that we may:
Provide an update to parents on their children’s progress. Provide a meal to them around the family table. Provide educational materials & classes so that parents may better assist their children with their education. Provide physical & recreational activities designed for families & their children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SK2 Schedule

Receive homework help & support and participate in a variety of activities throughout the week! 

Grades K–8
Monday–Friday, 2:30–5:00 PM
SK2 has two sessions, one occuring in fall and one occuring in winter/spring.

Dinners will be provided in to-go containers to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19. Snacks will still be provided on-site.

If Dayton Public Schools are closed or dismissed early due to severe weather concerns, SK2 will be canceled.

Cost
SK2 is a FREE program ($10 registration fee)

Enrollment
Completed forms and registration fee payment will hold your child’s spot. We now accept payments online through our new system. If you would not like to pay online, you may pay by phone or come in person to the To make a payment by phone, or for more information, call (937) 528-5100. 

Registration
Registration for this semester is closed.

Partner Schools

Our partner schools are Dayton Public Schools & Our Lady of the Rosary School. Students from these schools have the opportunity to arrange transportation to the Dayton Kroc Center.

Parents are responsible for ensuring their child's transportation has been arranged. The Dayton Kroc Center is not responsible for the transportation of program participants.
