STATUS: Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE: Part Time. Seasonal during Dayton Public Schools school year, Monday–Friday, 2–6 PM. 
Training: August 30–September 1
Program: September 7–November 19
Break: November 1–5

FUNCTION: SK2 Aides will fill a variety of program needs with the After School Program. The nature of the task and Responsibilities will change to some degree based upon the program they are assisting in; but their character and attitude must always promote the Christian faith and be in keeping with the mission of The Salvation Army. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years of experience in children or youth work 
  • Must be able work in a team environment, take the lead when needed, and follow the direction of The Salvation Army Officers and management team. 
  • Must be safety conscious 
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly, in English 
  • Must have the ability to work and relate well with individuals with varying needs 
  • Must be able to handle difficult situations/confrontations in a professional manner 
  • Must possess an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army 
  • Must enjoy working with children.

6. If this person will be needed to drive as part of their responsibilities, then they will need to have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a Salvation Army 12 passenger driving test.

STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Full-time. Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in order to fulfill duties as outlined below.

Function:
This is a ministry-centered (religious) role. The Corps Ministry Assistant will serve in a critical support role to the Corps Officers. They will be intimately and integrally involved in the ministry of the Corps, including teaching, leading and preaching the Gospel Message. The Corps Ministry Assistant will be involved in Corps Administration, Youth Ministries, Social Ministries, and Community Relations. Their character and attitude must always promote the principles in keeping with the Mission of The Salvation Army.

Qualifications
• Meaningful experience in Teen and/or Sports Ministry Programs
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (ministry, Audio Video communications, or related field).
• Must uphold Biblical standards in personal and professional life.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must possess a valid Ohio Driver’s License and a willingness to drive a 12-passenger van.
• Adhere to policies and procedures of The Salvation Army.
• Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft programs and social media platforms is required.
