Irene Díaz
Education Department Manager
I been working with children and youth since I was a youth. I love to be around children; they always bring a fresh way to see life! Here at The Kroc Center it is my pleasure to direct the Education building along with a great staff. My goal in life is to show God's character and to be an example. I think every day is an opportunity lo learn: from each other, from God, from nature, and more. It is never too late to reach a goal. Here in Education we want you to know that you are valuable and you have worth! I like this Bible verse: “Brothers, I know that I have not yet reached that goal. But there is one thing I always do: I forget the things that are past. I try as hard as I can to reach the goal that is before me. I keep trying to reach the goal and get the prize. That prize is mine because God called me through Christ to the life above.”—Philippians 3:13–14 ICB version

I am an advocate for both children and animals who has worked with children in different capacities for 3 decades. My experience includes teaching grades 4-5 in the Dayton Public School system and working with staff overseeing the development of children with mental and physical disabilities. I have a love of the advancements in technology and I enjoy teaching them to others as well. I am a foster parent and a pet parent. My pets are Chancellor, an 11-year-old Shih Tzu, and Cashe, a 2-year-old Doberman. I enjoy volunteering for causes involving children and animals, but the most enjoyable part of my day is the time I spend meditating with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
