Adults in need make up the biggest group we serve

Through programs designed to address the mind, body and soul, we meet the needs of adults of all ages.

How we help partner with adults

We at The Salvation Army Buffalo Area Services partner with Adults in our community in a number of ways, from food and clothing through our Emergency Family Assistance department, helping adults gain skills through our Employment Services, learning healthy alternatives to violence in our Conflict Resolution Workshop, to helping families break the cycle of poverty with our Pathway of Hope program.

Emergency Family Assistance
Emergency Family Assistance is a basic needs program whose primary focus is the provision of food to hungry individuals and families. Open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:30AM to 1:00PM.

Employment Services
The Employment Services Program in partnership with Erie County DSS (Department of Social Services) provides low-income individuals with comprehensive Job Readiness, Job Search, Vocational Training, and HSE (High-School Equivalency) services.

Conflict Resolution Workshop
This unique program provides counseling for men who abuse their loved ones by helping them to understand battering behavior and to learn healthy alternatives to violence.

Erie County Rural Services
The Erie County Service Units are located in Akron, Angola, Eden, Holland, North Collins and Springville providing service to rural county residents. Service is available seven days per week, 24 hours per day.
