Local Seniors Are Thriving

Aug 22, 2019 | by Greater New York Division

Loneliness is one of the biggest challenges facing seniors today. But thanks to your compassionate generosity, local elderly neighbors are finding friends and fellowship at The Salvation Army. Hundreds of senior citizens flock to the Seniors Program in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn every day, where they engage in a number of activities ranging from computer literacy classes to table tennis to dance. Perhaps most important is the comradery and sense of family they experience.
