Shib

Feb 11, 2020 | by The Salvation Army East

My name is Shib.  I used to be a driver, but was in a road accident that injured my spine.  I became permanently disabled.  It is difficult for me to walk and to speak clearly.  The Salvation Army Corps officer in my community came to visit me, and began looking for ways that he could assist me.  I am the main bread-winner in my family.  I was good at tailoring before the accident, so when the Others group in Sankerpur began making the hearts for Others, I was asked to do the sewing of the hearts.  I have my own machine and can do this work from my home.  I am very proud that I can still be productive despite my disabilities and that Others has given me that chance
