Pathway of Hope (POH) uses an intensive, client‐centered case management approach to empower families and address root causes preventing them from becoming more self‐sufficient. By breaking the cycle of crisis in conjunction with our extensive community partners, it offers a hand up as opposed to a handout and enables a path out of poverty.

Helping Families Make Lasting Change

Studies show that children who grow up in poverty are 32 times more likely to remain in poverty as adults. POH’s goal is to break this cycle, impacting multiple generations as we work long‐term alongside families with children, empowering them to move beyond crisis to a state of increased stability. Enrolled families and their respective case managers will take advantage of The Salvation Army’s extensive resources and community connections, developing personalized action plans oriented through a strengths‐based lens to overcome barriers and objectively track their progress over time.
