The Salvation Army Oil City Dental Center Prepares for Transition to New Dentist, Currently Seeking Dental Professionals

Jul 15, 2021 | by Stephanie Rex

July 15, 2021 (Oil City, PA) – The Salvation Army Oil City Dental Center is currently seeking a new dentist and hiring additional staff, offering opportunities to professionals in the area who are dedicated to serving families and individuals in need.

As of this week, Dr. Matthew Kulinski is no longer providing services at The Salvation Army Oil City Dental Center. As a result, the center will temporarily be without a dentist. This transition requires The Salvation Army Oil City Dental Center to instate a temporary pause on some dental services for new patients as it goes through the hiring process.

Due to the challenges related to acquiring a new dentist, some previously scheduled appointments must be postponed or rescheduled, however, The Salvation Army Dental Center is able to complete procedures for patients who are currently in the midst of a treatment process, such as crowns, dentures, etc.

The center will resume full services for all new and existing patients as soon as a new dentist is recruited and hired. For the most up-to-date information on services, please visit https://easternusa.salvationarmy.org/western-pennsylvania/dental-centers/.

If current patients need their dental records before full dental services resume, they are asked to please call 814-670-0374 to acquire the records/x-rays needed. (Patients will need to complete a release of records form).

“The Salvation Army Western PA Division’s dental centers were born out of the need that we saw in our region for access to affordable dental care – and we remain dedicated to fulfilling this need for Venango County families,” said Major Gregory Hartshorn, Divisional Commander, The Salvation Army Western PA Division. “We are working swiftly and diligently to recruit a new dentist who is not only fully qualified, but who is also dedicated to our mission of Doing The Most Good in Venango County.”

The Salvation Army Oil City Dental Center is located at 217 Sycamore Street, Oil City, PA 16301. The Salvation Army also has a dental center located in Johnstown. These full-service dental clinics provide high quality care to families and individuals in need in fully equipped dental offices.
