Salvation Army officership is a calling.
Salvation Army officership is a calling. We believe that God has a call for all people and that every disciple should strive to live out that call to, with, and through Jesus Christ and the salvation of the world. The life of a Salvation Army officer is a rigorous one, often requiring broad skill sets and varied contributions ranging from leading and pastoring a congregation to community relations and fundraising, property management, office and program administration, leadership training, and more. At the same time our officers are raising families, pursuing further education and personal enrichment, and cultivating their spiritual lives.
