SENIOR CENTER / SOCIAL DAY PROGRAM
The Salvation Army’s senior social day program is in downtown Syracuse and provides services to adults, 60 years or older who would benefit from supervision, nutrition, personal care and socialization in a non-institutional day setting. The senior center provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere with activities planned to meet the specific needs of each individual while fostering a sense of community.
The senior social day is open Monday - Friday from 8am -3pm.

The Salvation Army provides nutritious meals in a friendly social setting to 60+ seniors in Onondaga County. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday from 8:30 am - 9:00 am and lunch is served from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm.
There is no fee for eligible seniors to dine. There are suggested meal contributions posted at the dining site however no senior is turned away due to inability to pay. Monthly menus are provided to seniors.
Senior Dining is sponsored by the Onondaga County Department of Adult & Long-Term Care Services, the New York State Office for the Aging, and the US Administration on Aging.

The Salvation Army’s I&A Case Manager can help provide information and referral services and advocacy to seniors 60 years or older who are residing in Onondaga County, as well as for their families/caregivers. This program helps to support independence for seniors through community linkages and to prevent the need for institutional care. The program provides general assistance with many issues faced by seniors such as:
