The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmas.

We celebrate the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to those who are hurting during the holidays and throughout the year. In fact, our services are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced.

The Salvation Army helps make
spirits brighter at Christmas through:

Annual Toy Drive

The Salvation Army of Greater Cleveland provides hope and joy to more than 4,500 children and 2,000 families each year with our Annual Toy Drive. Various corporate partners, organizations and individuals in the community come together each year to make the holidays brighter for our families and children in need.

Senior Care Packages

Older adults in our community more often than not, need to choose between purchasing needed medications or needed household items. We are here to help ease that burden by having household items available to our seniors at our Corps Community Centers.

Thanksgiving and Christmas hot meals or food baskets

The Salvation Army helps bring people together for the holidays by providing everything needed for a traditional Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at home and hot meals at our Corps Community Centers where hundreds gather.

Holiday parties for youth or older adults

Giving everyone, young and old, a place to celebrate with others is a simple thing that goes a long way toward helping people during the holidays.

Hats and Gloves for Children

As part of our toy drive, we provide warmth by providing winter weather items including hats or gloves.

The Christmas story

Every Christmas season, we hear about stories of Rudolph, Frosty, Elf on the Shelf and “The Night Before Christmas.” While these stories are fun, we encourage you to share “The Christmas Story” with your children, grandchildren, loved ones and others during this Christmas season.
