1. CAPTURE YOUR VIDEO.
Visit a red kettle location and take a short, five-second video of you ringing the bell with the red kettle. Nothing fancy – just a phone video will do!
2. CREATE YOUR PAGE.
Create your individual fundraising page. Set your fundraising goal, add your headline – what you want to call your fundraiser, set an optional short URL for easy sharing and upload a photo. Just a few minutes, and you’re all set!
3. CREATE YOUR STORY.
Your personal story and ask for support is what will make your campaign the most successful, and thus, help the most people in need. Tell your friends why you’re raising funds and why helping those in need in Fairfield County is so important to you. This can just be a sentence or two, but should be heartfelt.
4. SHARE YOUR STORY.
Share your story, video and link to your campaign through email and any of your social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube. Regularly post updates on your page to keep your followers engaged throughout your campaign.
5. SAY THANK YOU.
Whether it’s a handwritten note or a public post on your social media channels, be sure to personally thank each person who donates to your campaign. Remember, recognizing them on social media channels is also a great way to share reminders about your campaign!
