The Salvation Army ensures kids are equipped with the tools they need to succeed, which starts by meeting their basic needs.

We take a holistic approach by providing programs with life-long impact such as afterschool programs, summer camp opportunities, music education and more. At the core of all that we do for youth, fighting for them is synonymous with sharing God's love and grace.

Afterschool Program

Our Afterschool Program, designed for grades 1-5, is held Monday-Friday from 2:45-5:00 PM. Children will focus on homework, emergent arts, character building and physical education. Snacks and a hot nutritious meal are provided to each child. While it costs an average of $177.27 to cover the cost of each child in our afterschool program, we only charge $25/week per child and $10 for additional siblings. Financial Aid is available for families who cannot afford full payment.

Summer Day Camp

Our camp is an seven-week program from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM for children ages 6-11 with breakfast, lunch and snacks provided. Kids will enjoy creative education programs to help address summer learning loss, weekly activities, and field trips. The cost for parents to send their children to camp is $50 per week for each child.

Camp Ladore

Campers aged 7–17 (depending on the session) attend a week-long stay at The Salvation Army’s summer sleepaway camp in the Pocono Mountains. Kids who attend will participate in nature study, swimming, boating, arts & crafts, music instruction, archery, hiking, organized games, ropes challenge courses, and more.
