Thank You for a Wonderful Holiday Season!
As the New Year approaches and the holiday season comes to an end, people often reflect on the events from the past year and set goals/intentions for year to come.
During 2021, Pandemic Poverty was at an all-time high as hundreds of families were struggling to make ends meet. Our community has been struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic for the past two years and for many, it’s difficult to reflect on past events. As the needs of our community began to change, The Salvation Army Buffalo adapted:
- We began serving dinner to families in need in the Riverside neighborhood.
- We delivered groceries to families and individuals who couldn’t visit our food pantry or go to the grocery store.
- We provided over 500 fully stocked backpacks for children to start the new school year ready to succeed.
- This holiday season, we provided a Christmas assistance to 1200 families in need.
- Over 40 individuals, businesses and organizations hosted a toy collection this holiday season.
- Over $100K was raised to support the programs and services offered to the Buffalo Community through our Virtual Red Kettle Luncheon and online kettles.
Thank you to our donors, volunteers, partners and staff members for helping us Do The Most Good for those in need in the Buffalo community throughout 2021.
We look forward to the future accomplishments and achievements that will be made in 2022!
