Ways To Be Involved This Christmas
With the Christmas season about to begin, we know that many community members will be looking for ways to give back to those in need. From donating toys and food to volunteering as a bell ringer, there are many ways for people to support their local Salvation Army. Here in Buffalo, we have many ways people can support our programs and mission:
Volunteer – We have several holiday volunteer opportunities available including bell ringing, Thanksgiving Dinner service and with our two Christmas Assistance programs: Toy Shoppe and Sponsored Families. Create a Virtual Kettle – Everyone knows about our Red Kettles out in the community, but did you know you can create a VIRTUAL KETTLE?! All funds raised through these virtual kettles stay right here in Buffalo! For information on creating your virtual kettle visit: https://give.salvationarmy.org/buffalokettle21 or call 716-888-6220.
Toy and Food Collections – Many families this Christmas will be struggling to provide food and toys for their families. We have virtual options available for both toy collections AND food collections this holiday season. For information on hosting a food collection, please call 716-888-6220. Facebook Fundraisers – Did you know you can host a fundraiser through Facebook? Consider supporting The Salvation Army Buffalo with a Facebook Fundraiser this holiday season.
