Adult Beginner

It’s never too late to learn how to swim! Are you afraid of the water or never participated in formal training? Adults will learn to become comfortable in the water and practice basic stroke mechanics (freestyle and backstroke) in this 45-minute lesson – now is a great time to get back to basics!

Early School Beginner

Swim to win! Children ages 5-6 learn basic stroke mechanics and develop endurance during this 30-minute lesson. Successful swimmers will perform a front glide (unassisted) and swim partial pool lengths (both front and back) without a flotation device – and we emphasize water safety with all classes! Please note that parents of children uncomfortable in the water may be asked to join the lesson in the water.

Pre-School Beginner

Get your face wet and learn how to swim! Children ages 3-5 with no previous swimming experience will become independent in the water during this 30-minute session. Our goal is to build each child’s confidence through skills that include basic paddling, kicking, and “face in the water” activities – we’ll also include an introduction to pool safety that may include use of lifejacket fitting and wear (parents of children uncomfortable in the water may be asked to join the lesson in the water).

Pre-Teen Beginner

Start off weak but come out strong! Youth ages 10-12 work to feel comfortable in the water, learn basic self-help rescue skills, and begin to develop swimming skills that include front and back crawl. The successful student will be able to swim partial pool lengths with no assistance at the end of this class cycle.

School Age Beginner

Swim to win! Children ages 7-9 learn basic stroke mechanics and develop endurance during this 30-minute lesson. Successful swimmers will perform a front glide (unassisted) and swim partial pool lengths (both front and back) without a flotation device – and we emphasize water safety with all classes!
