Aetna Supports The Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids in Indiana, Pennsylvania
INDIANA, Pa. (October 10, 2024) – For the second year in a row, Aetna Better Health Kids, a CVS Health company, will support The Salvation Army’s Coats for Kids initiative in Indiana, Pennsylvania. This sponsorship will help ensure children living in Indiana, Pennsylvania have the proper winter outerwear they need ahead of the cold winter months.
New winter outerwear, including coats, gloves, hats and scarves, will be distributed on Tuesday, October 29 and Wednesday, October 30 from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at The Salvation Army Indiana Worship and Service Center (635 Water Street, Indiana, Pa. 15701). Aetna’s Wellness on Wheels mobile unit will also be on site offering a variety of free health screenings, education, activities and resources.
“Families are facing increasing costs for basic resources, such as good clothing, food and housing,” said Jerold Mammano, division president, Aetna Medicaid. “Our collaboration with The Salvation Army will help address that challenge and provide kids with new coats and other clothing so they stay warm this winter.”
The Salvation Army of Indiana’s Coats for Kids program provides warm winterwear to more than 500 children across Indiana County each year.
