The Salvation Army Camden Kroc Center has a Client Choice Food Pantry. In a shopping-like environment, clients select healthy and familiar foods for their family to enjoy. Depending on family size and ChooseMyPlate.gov standards, each client is given a number of choices of food in several categories. The pantry is available to any New Jersey residents providing proof of residence. Any persons in need of food may call for an appointment at no cost. Please remember masks must be always worn and hand sanitizer will be provided for use before you enter the pantry. Social distancing rules remain in effect.

The Salvation Army in Camden is committed to meeting needs. We recognize that not every resident has the ability or resources to come to our Choice Food Pantry. Out of a desire to love and serve our community, The Salvation Army Kroc Center created a Mobile Pantry which transports food resources into communities in Camden. Every Wednesday, we mobilize boxes of food, with no charge to the recipients.
On the first Wednesday of each month, our Mobile Pantry will be in the large Kroc Center parking lot. We welcome drive-up or walk-up clients with no appointment. Every other Wednesday of the month, we partner with local housing units by driving to their communities with free food resources for families. Follow “Kroc Center – Camden” on social media to see which community we are in!
Do you know of someone who needs food brought to their community? Please call us at 856-379-4871 or email njkrocfoodpantry@use.salvationarmy.org. We want to help!
It is important to us at The Salvation Army Kroc Center that everyone, no matter their income level or status, be able to attend and benefit from the life-changing opportunities available at the Kroc Center.
Through our Kroc Member Scholarship Program, we offer help to individuals and families who would like to become a member but may need financial assistance. Email us to get started on your application.
Pathway of Hope is an initiative designed to partner with families who have children under the age of 18. The goal of the program is for families to realize their individual strengths in order to meet their full potential. As a team, Pathway of Hope aims to help people living in poverty break the cycle of crisis and vulnerability to lead families down a path toward increased stability. We work together to identify various goals and establish action steps to achieve those goals. Our desire is for families to eventually achieve self-sufficiency through a pathway of hope for current and future generations. If this sounds like something you may be interested in, please contact:

Many Americans are familiar with The Salvation Army's thrift stores which fund our well-known drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs. And our iconic red kettles have become a symbol of the Christmas season and the spirit of giving.
But in thousands of communities across the Eastern United States, The Salvation Army also operates programs and services which are designed to meet human need in Christ's name, alleviate human suffering and promote wholeness by addressing the spiritual, social, emotional, psychological and physical well-being of those served.
