Become a Volunteer Today
We have the perfect volunteer opportunity to meet your interests.
From its inception, The Salvation Army has relied heavily on volunteers who support its mission and programs. Often referred to as the “army behind The Army”, volunteers play a crucial role in The Salvation Army’s ability to provide quality services for the entire community.
Volunteers are valuable assets in The Salvation Army’s efforts to meet the changing needs of our world. Volunteers are everyday people who thrive to help others. Volunteering does not require extensive skills or training; it just requires heart. If you have the heart to help, The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers who are committed, caring and have a heart to serve!
Volunteer opportunities varies based upon the season! Volunteers serve in many ways, such as assisting in the food pantry, community outreach, health & wellness classes, special events, red kettle bell ringers, admin tasks, and more. If you have a special skill or profession, we would like to hear from you. Opportunities vary with age, skill and commitment.
Kroc Center volunteers are held to the same standards as our employees. If you are interested in being processed as an Individual Volunteer, potential volunteers are interviewed, reference and background checked, attend a Volunteer Orientation and The Salvation Army’s KeepSAfe training.
Volunteer Groups - like organizations, churches, service groups - are welcomed to serve with us. There is always a need for groups to conduct food, toy and book drives. Many groups help us with our outside Beautification Project helping to clean the Kroc Campus and neighborhood. Volunteer groups must submit a Group Liability form and the Group Leader must be background checked. All volunteers must fit the criteria as outlined in the Group Liability.
"You are not here in the world for yourself. You have been sent here for others. The world is waiting for you!"
