There is an urgent need for families for children in foster care and for older children and siblings who are waiting to be adopted. We look forward to helping individuals or couples who are interested in becoming a licensed resource family, begin the journey. Our team will treat you with kindness and respect as we walk hand in hand with you through preparing to join the ranks of amazing families who do the most good for precious children.
"In November of 2017, I reached out to The Salvation Army about becoming a foster parent. What I found was an incredible amount of support, care, and encouragement as I completed the process to become licensed and trained. I truly can't say enough nice things about every single staff member I worked with...from that first email to the day I received the official word that I was an approved resource parent and ready to accept a placement." - Emily A. (Foster and Adoptive Parent)
Families who choose to become foster parents with The Salvation Army Children's Services are families who have a passion for helping children and want to be informed, prepared, and supported. Our families receive the most trauma-informed preparation and develop the skills necessary to meet the unique needs of the children placed in their homes.
When you join us, your family becomes our family and together, we do the most good for children who need us.
