The Salvation Army Children’s Services exists to be a voice for vulnerable children and a pillar of support for families in crisis. We are a mission-driven organization rooted in the belief that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving, and stable home.

Drawing from the rich legacy of The Salvation Army, our Children’s Services division serves communities across Eastern Pennsylvania with specialized programs that protect children, strengthen families, and promote healing. Our work focuses on prevention, family preservation, foster care, adoption, and trauma-informed care—all with the goal of breaking cycles of adversity and building hope for the future.

Comprehensive Foster Care and Adoption Services

We offer a full range of foster care and adoption services, including short-term and long-term foster care, respite care, kinship placements, and adoption through the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN). We also provide ongoing training and education to equip families with the tools they need to thrive.

Trauma-Informed Training That Sets You Apart

All of our families receive Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) Caregiver Training, a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach developed specifically for children who have experienced early adversity.

We believe that healing happens in safe, connected relationships—and we’re committed to preparing caregivers with the insight and tools they need to build those connections.
